Woodbridge School won the Girl’s Overall Trophy and the Overall Schools’ Trophy.
Adam Lubbock, head of sport at Woodbridge School added “To win two of the three trophies and have so many great individual performances is a great result for Woodbridge. Achieving well at cross country comes down to hard work and I would like to thank Mark Goddard for the tremendous and passionate work that he has carried out for the athletes and the school over the past year. Without his class as a coach we would certainly not have performed so well. There was also incredible parental support that was evident throughout the day.” Mr Lubbock continued “ the girls in particularly performed brilliantly winning three out of their four categories (U11, U12 and U13) but we also had to rely on a number of runners who ensured we could put out full teams despite not being ‘runners’ themselves. It was their selfless support which allowed us to compete in the overall team competition and win”.
