A number of sailing squad members at Rydal Penrhos picked up national titles at the Welsh Youth and Junior Open Championships, which ran over a two-day period last weekend.
Upper Sixth form duo Ewan Luke and Zac Blomeley, Team GB squad members, finished top of the podium in the 29er category for the second time.
There was further success for the Senior School when Llion Morris was rewarded with a first-place finish in the Topper event.
Prep School sensation Fflur Pierce was at the top of her game throughout a strong field in the Tera fleet, with the senior Prefect digging deep to secure first overall from the competition and attain a second championship at national level.
Another to emerge from the event with a great deal of credit was Ellie Knight, who was the second girl and fourth overall in the Optimist Fleet which represents her best outing at a competition of this magnitude, and the team of Keira Luke and Freddie MacLaverty finished with a silver medal in the Feva fleet.
The brother trio of Eddie, Kevin and Liam Farrell also performed extremely well, as did fellow Rydal Penrhos sailors Ollie Gibson, Sophie Morris and Aidan Skinner to round off an incredible weekend for the school.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “To secure so many incredible finishes against the best young talent in the country is a testament to the preparation given to our Sailing squad by Max Todd, Dan Rippon and the coaching team, and they can all be rightfully proud of the way they performed.
“Our sailing provision is something that has been one of the cornerstones of Rydal Penrhos life for decades, and it continues to achieve excellence on a consistent basis.”
