A pair of Colwyn Bay school pupils have organised a special wellbeing event in aid of charity.
Adele Parry and Grace Patrick, both year 12 pupils at Rydal Penrhos, will host a Canine Calming event this afternoon, with all proceeds going towards Guide Dogs Wales.
There will be plenty of guide dogs throughout the event, which runs from 12-4pm, and all year groups will get the chance to meet the dogs.
Adele, aged 17, said: “This is something that Grace and I have arranged ourselves and we hope that it will be a great way for pupils to learn more about guide dogs, and the good work they do throughout the region.
“There will be a number of guide dogs present for the pupils to interact with, as well as each dog’s respective owner who will be present to answer any questions.
“There will also be several collection buckets and various wristbands/pin badges for the children to purchase, in order to raise money and awareness of the charity.
“We have been in contact with Guide Dogs Wales throughout the planning process, and we would like to thank them for their support.”
In addition to the wellbeing event, this year’s proceeds from the Easter Concert will also be added to the fundraising total.
Adele and Grace have enlisted the help of their year 12 classmates, who will be assisting with the overall running of the event.
