Russell School has announced that it will be opening a new Performing Arts Centre this September, due to the number of students participating and excelling in this field, both within and outside the curriculum.
The school was able to open the new space due to a donation from former student David McKee. David is the founder and former owner of the McKee Gallery in New York City and is an avid supporter of the arts. Over several visits David has had an input in to the development of the project, including finding the perfect location.
The Performing Arts Centre will be constructed within Rossall’s current Middle School Gym space, creating a multi-functional rehearsal and performance space for the arts, with ‘black box’ facility, professional theatre lighting, flexible staging and space for dance.
