Millfield School pupil Sophie Keech added another trophy to her growing collection after winning the English U18 Girls’ National Championships on Thursday.
It is the second national title of the year for 17-year-old Sophie, who is also English Schools’ Champion and South West Girls’ Champion.
Sophie won the 72-hole event, held at Oake Manor in Somerset, by five shots from Annabel Dimmock, finishing on par for the four rounds.
Karen Nicholls, Millfield director of golf commented: “This is a fantastic achievement for Sophie and a just reward for her commitment to the sport. I am confident there is still much more to come from Sophie and I look forward to helping her progress towards senior level.”
Millfield specialises in developing young golfers and offers three putting greens, an artificial nine-hole course, specialist short game area and a 350-yard long driving range with nine covered bays. Pupils also have access to V1 video analysis to further assist their development.
