St Paul’s School’s Catering Manager, Philip Lockyer from school catering company Holroyd Howe, has been awarded Independent School Caterer of the Year at the prestigious, national EDUcatering Excellence Awards.
This is the second year in a row that a member of the Holroyd Howe team has won the award.
Philip has worked as Catering Manager of St Paul’s School in London for the past two years, where he and his team deliver over 10,000 meals per week. In this role, Philip looks after a team of 30 and is responsible for food provision both on a day-to-day basis and at the many special events the school hosts.
The nomination from the Senior Management team at Holroyd Howe came after Philip’s impressive management of the catering provision during an ongoing period of major construction at the school, which has required the catering team to work from temporary facilities. During this challenging time, Philip has retained his team, ensured food standards remain excellent and continued to enhance the service he and his team provide.
Philip was delighted with the win at the EDUcatering Awards. He says: “I am absolutely thrilled to have been nominated by the team at Holroyd Howe and to win has been an absolute honour. I share this award with my Head Chef, Andy South, and the rest of the catering team at St Paul’s School, all of whom have contributed to making the catering provision there so successful.”
