Year 12 Poppy Buckenham jumped clear finishing first in the 1.05m show jumping plate, whilst year 8 Martha Millar jumped a clear round in the 95cm Arena Eventing Plate competition, finishing second.
The 1.05m Felsted team of Natasha Worsick, Alex Theinart, Eloise Barber and Martha Millar finished first in the plate and Felsted’s 95cm Show Jumping team; Poppy Buckenham, Natasha Worsick, Eloise Barber and Alexa Theinart also achieved first place and have qualified for the finals at The Royal Windsor Horse Show next May.
Mrs Paula Pilcher, head of Felsted equestrian, commented: “I’m so proud of all the riders, it takes huge amounts of dedication to keep the horses fit to jump at this level of competition. The girls are delighted to have qualified for Windsor, so few teams qualify each year and it is the first time a team from Felsted will have the honour of jumping at the Royal Horse Show.”
