Durham School and International House Newcastle have announced a new partnership that will bring learners from across the globe to Durham School during the Easter and summer holidays from 2019.
International House Newcastle at Durham School will offer guests the opportunity to study a range of English language courses in one of the UK’s oldest seats of learning, which has a rich 600-year history.
International House Newcastle offers a wide range of English for young people, aged 13-17 and adults interesting in learning English for education, business, aviation and teaching English as a foreign language.
The details of the courses to be offered during the 2019 holiday schools will be tailored to ensure as many people as possible can benefit from the new partnership.
Patricia Mullen, Executive Marketing Director of International House Newcastle commented: “We are so excited to have signed this partnership with Durham School. The language travel industry is experiencing a vast increase in the younger learners market which frequently request good quality residential accommodation and this is just perfect!”
Kieran McLaughlin, Headmaster of Durham School added: “This is a wonderful opportunity for Durham School to share our campus with young people from around the world.
“This partnership will benefit both the school and the local community, bringing more guests to Durham and raising the profile of both Durham School and the city as a destination worldwide.”
The courses will take place for three weeks at Easter and six weeks in summer 2019.
