A cast of 120 Lower School pupils from Dauntsey’s have staged a stunning production of Alice in Wonderland. The pupils enacted a number of memorable moments from Lewis Carroll’s famous book, including Alice’s game of croquet with the Queen of Hearts, conversations with a Cheshire Cat and tea with the Mad Hatter.
The pupils demonstrated wonderful acting, singing and dancing skills during this colourful and fast paced production.
Elise Chambers, Drama teacher at Dauntsey’s, said: “The pupils have been preparing for this production since October last year and it was fantastic to see all the hard work paying off. The cast performed brilliantly and the contribution from the back stage crew, music department, set and costume designers really brought this iconic book to life.
”Performing in a production of this standard is a wonderful opportunity for the pupils to learn new skills and grow their confidence outside the classroom. It’s also a great way of building relationships between the different year groups in the Lower School.”
