Jess Forward, a talented young chef from Birmingham, has been awarded an Outstanding Apprentice Award by University College Birmingham (UCB).
Bromsgrove School’s apprentice chef Jess is the first person nationally to study for a Level 4 Diploma in hospitality management, and was put forward for the award by her university tutor as recognition of her academic excellence and outstanding achievement. Jess has been working at Bromsgrove School as an apprentice chef since February.
The School’s head chef, Steven Giles, commented: “Jess is a very likeable character; during her time here she has learnt new skills and gained in confidence, I am so happy and proud for Jess in achieving this award, she deserves it”.
