Schoolblazer are excited to announce that their independent school sportswear brand Squadkit will now be known as Limitless. Limitless believes in supporting every young person to become more active and that providing comfortable and technical clothing is the first step to achieving this. Limitless will continue to provide quality, high-performance sportswear to leading independent schools in the UK, ensuring that we are helping to build an active and healthy generation.
Since its inception in 2010, Squadkit has developed a strong sportswear brand together with their school partners and it is now the #1 brand in independent schools, providing technical fabrics and comfort for young athletes, regardless of which team they play in at school. The sportswear brand has supported many young athletes over the last few years, originally with a scholarship programme and today with an ambassador programme. Limitless also support schools by providing sporting role models for young people who visit their school, provide coaching and give talks to the students.
Schoolblazer Co-Founder, Tim James said “Our work with schools and pupils since 2010 has seen a changing emphasis – from an almost exclusively elite team focus to a real determination to build a life-long love of an active lifestyle to every pupil in the school. We totally endorse this. As our understanding has developed, we now feel that the name, “Squadkit” may appear too “first team”. Limitless is better and much more clearly encapsulates our ethos as a brand.”
Limitless will be participating in several projects over the next few months, the first of which will be a collaboration with the Youth Sport Trust, looking into the barriers to participation in sports at independent schools. It will look at what young people think about being active – why they might stop, what’s important to them and what they think about sport. With our support, the Youth Sport Trust will be working to complete this survey over the next nine months and we are already excited to see the results and use them to continue developing both our sportswear and our support for young athletes.
