Hymers College are once again opening up applications to become one of their two Charities of the Year for 2018.
The Hymers College Charity Committee are again hoping to find two local charities that they could support though various fundraising events and activities held by the pupils during 2018. Through the events held, the school are also hoping to help raise the profile of the charities they are supporting. The pupils are pledging to raise £2,000 in total (£1,000 per charity).
Mrs Mason who is overseeing the committee has said: “We are hoping to find two new, relatively small, charities that would benefit greatly from the money raised. Any charity from Hull, East Riding or North Lincolnshire can apply. We have been supporting PAUL for brain recovery and The Ellie Penrose Fund during 2017 and hope to find two new charities that the pupils can support.”
The only criteria is that the charity has to be a local charity and not a national charity, this also includes individuals raising money for a national charity.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form. Once all completed forms are returned, the whole school will vote for their favourite two charities. The two successful charities will be announced before Christmas.
